n KLM requests buzz flights to budapest



KLMUK has applied to launch low-cost flights between Stansted and Budapest for its subsidiary operation, Buzz. Flights are expected to start in the summer. They will be Buzz’s first into eastern Europe following the airline’s launch last month.



n BA franchise to add more regional flights



British Airways franchise carrier British Regional Airlines is increasing capacity on the Belfast City-Glasgow route on March 6. A fourth daily flight, at midday, will improve weekday frequencies, while on Sundays a third service is being added.



n september date set for aviation gathering



The European Regions Airline Association will hold its general assembly between September 27-29 at the Interlaken Congress Centre in Switzerland. Some 600 senior aviation executives are expected to attend.



n bristol set for charter increases



Charter carriers and operators have increased capacity at Bristol International Airport this summer. Airtours is putting a 220-seater Airbus A321 into Bristol in place of a 180-seater A320 and launching Tunisia, Naples and Bodrum. Crystal Holidays is starting Saturday flights to Pisa and Verona, while Kosmar Holidays is launching a Saturday flight to Rhodes in May.
