EMIRATES has scooped the prestigious OAG Airline of the Year award for the third year running.
UK and Ireland sales manager Vic Sheppard received the award at the Grosvenor House Hotel during the event organised by OAG which is a sister company to Travel Weekly.
The Gulf carrier beat off the challenge of Singapore Airlines, Qantas, Virgin Atlantic and South African Airways for the accolade.
SIA and partner Virgin picked up nine of the 20 prizes. The Asian carrier was recognised six times including best Asian airline, best Europe-Far East/Australasia airline and best first and economy class.
Virgin picked up the best European airline, best transatlantic airline and best long-haul business class.
