BRITISH Airways has severed all links with global distribution system provider Galileo.
The carrier is selling Travel Automation Services, which includes Galileo UK, to Galileo International.
Last year, BA sold its 6.7% stake in Galileo International back to the technology firm for £192m (Travel Weekly June 21).
The acquisition of Maidenhead-based Galileo UK will give the parent company 18 sales and marketing outlets, which represents 70% of its UK distribution.
Chairman and chief executive of Galileo International James Bartlett said the move continues the strategy of acquiring distributors in mature markets.
