Representatives from the Government, media and aviation
industry are on-board the aircraft to welcome it back into the skies.
On Friday British Airways will resume commercial operations for
the time since the service was suspended last year. There will be six flights a
week between Heathrow and New York JFK and from December a weekly service will commence
from Heathrow and Barbados.
Today’s Air France flight left Paris-Charles de Gaulle at
9.30am and is set to land at 8.25am.
The airline will offer five flights a week between France
and the US.
