MACDONALD Hotels has reported a pre tax profit of £7.5
million for the six months ending October 4, an increase of 7% compared to the
same period last year.
Turnover was £70.4 million, up 81% on last year’s figure
while room yields increased by 13% to £41.59.
The Scotland-based hotel chain put its success down to the
performance of Heritage Hotels, which it acquired earlier in the year with the
Bank of Scotland.
