I love your coconuts – or is it your P45?
I am fascinated to know what Lunn Poly has in mind when it says customers will be greeted by the sound of holiday music and the smell of coconuts when the shops are refitted (Travel Weekly November 19).
Does it mean that ‘the greatest’ Eurohits will be on constant rotation? I can understand that the smell of coconuts might get customers in the mood to book their holiday, but Black Lace and Whigfield? I don’t think so.
And what about the poor staff who have to serve in these conditions?
Is this a cunning plan to get people to volunteer for redundancy? I think we should be told.
