TV TRAVEL SHOP has revealed revenues for January hit £40
million.
The company sent 1,100 passengers on cruise holidays and
winter breaks were 53% up year on year. Long haul breaks accounted for 30% of
total sales.
Group chief executive Stephen Welton said “We are very pleased to be able to continue
to successfully grow TV Travel Shop in a difficult retail environment.”
Meanwhile, rival television agency Travel Deals Direct has
reported total sales in January were £2 million, up more than 70% on the
previous year. Passenger numbers increased 55% while the average booking was
£1,850.
