French hotel group Accor has expanded its presence in Germany with the addition of 27 new hotels.
The properties were previously operated under the Europa Congress and Europa Comfort names and will be included in Accor’s Mercure network in March this year.
Properties include the Europa Congress Hotel Dortmund and the Europa Congress Hotel Wuppertal in the Dusseldorf area. The new properties gives Accor a total of 234 hotels in Germany, operated under the Sofitel, Novotel, Mercure, Ibis, Etap Hotel and Formule 1 brands.
Accor has also strengthened its presence in Australia with the addition of 27 managed hotels, previously operated by All Seasons. The three and four-star properties are in areas including the business districts of Sydney and Melbourne. The move means Accor has 90 hotels in the country.
