OPERATORS
to Madagascar are cancelling their programmes after the Foreign Office warned
against holidays and non-essential travel to the Indian Ocean island.
The advice warns of ‘increasingly erratic and
unreliable’ flights in and out of the country following demonstrations and
roadblocks. Overnight a state of martial law has been declared.
Adventure specialist Explore Worldwide was due to
start its programme on April 10 but has cancelled its first two trips and will
review the situation for its third trip in May.
