FRENCH hotel chain Accor performed better than expected, its
results for 2001 have shown.
The company’s profits before tax were £464 million compared
with a post-September 11 forecast of between £428 million and £460 million.
Total sales for the year increased by 4% compared to 2000.
The company predicts the market will recover in the second
half of the year, first in the US and then Europe.
