SUNVIL UK has expanded its new programme with more hotels offering spa facilities and golf packages, additional properties in key areas and three activity centres for groups.
Also new are packages to the Millennium Dome, which the operator believes will become one of London’s main attractions. Sunvil UK director Lloyd Boutcher said: “Something we are trying to get across to agents is that these packages offer a lot of potential because visitors cannot buy tickets to the Dome on site, they have to pre-book.” Sunvil is offering a package combining a night at the three-star Plaza on Hyde Park hotel in central London with entry to the Dome for £62 per person.
The operator’s new brochure, which will be out at the end of this month, will feature 65 hotels in the UK compared to 40 last year. Nine hotels featuring health-and-beauty facilities and golf packages have been added together with more properties in London, the Lake District, Wales and Cornwall.”When we started out three years ago we carved a niche for ourselves by offering character hotels. But as we have seen a greater demand from clients for hotels with pools, health and beauty facilities and golf, so we have added some more modern properties,” said Boutcher.
He said the operator has seen a growth in the number of group bookings, which led to the introduction of three activity woodland centres, two of which are in Hampshire and the other in Kent.
