HOLIDAY resorts in Tenerife are reported to have escaped serious
damage following a major storm.
Both Playa de las Américas and Los Cristianos are said to
have been untouched after nine inches of rain fell in just three hours causing
major flooding at the weekend.
Six people are known to have died in the storm, although
none are thought to be tourists.
A major clear-up operation is now under way.
