ABTA is urging
agents to tape conversations with clients booking insurance to protect
themselves in the event of a dispute.
Newman Street also
wants members to thoroughly check clients’ medical history when selling
insurance.
The warnings come after a 75-year-old woman, who became ill in Florida,
was unable to fly home because she had not disclosed a pre-existing condition
when booking insurance.
