ScotAirways flies Dundee route not VLM

I READ with interest the London City Airport update (Travel Weekly December 6).

There is a glaring mistake in your factfile listing, which needs correcting.

We at ScotAirways fly the Dundee route, not VLM.

In fact we started this service on April 11 this year, with four return flights per day, Monday to Friday, using the fast and comfortable Dornier Fairchild 328 aircraft.

To many people’s surprise, this service is proving to be a big success, because of the massive time saving achievable between Tayside and Central London. We also fly Glasgow four-times daily, Monday to Friday, and in early January 2000 will commence services four-times daily to Edinburgh, making 12 flights daily between London City and three key Scottish cities.
