PRAYER
rooms will be provided at World Travel Market because the show clashes with
Muslim holy month Ramadan.
Exhibitors
and pre-registered visitors wanting to observe Ramadan will be informed about
the facilities at ExCel.
Despite
the overlap between the Islamic month and WTM, bookings from the Middle East
are up in terms of floor space compared to last year.
But
group exhibition director Fiona Jeffery conceded some exhibitors may leave WTM
earlier than normal to participate in Ramadan and some senior government
officials from the Middle East may not attend.
However, the tourism ministers for Jordan and Egypt
will still be attending.
