ABTA to hold war talks

ABTA has gathered a group of airline, tour operator,
airport and agent representatives for an Iraq war summit at Newman Street.

A group of 20 representatives are due to meet on
Monday to discuss the consequences of a war in Iraq and what can be done to
minimise a downturn.

It is believed ABTA chief executive Ian
Reynolds will chair the meeting, and attendees will include Travelscene sales
director John Harding.

An ABTA spokeswoman said: “The threat of war in Iraq
is hanging over us so we are going to see if we can use anything we learned
last time to help us prepare.”
