British Airways’
recovery continued during December with a 2.8% year-on-year increase in
passenger traffic.
Overall load
factors improved by two percentage points to 66% on the back of a capacity
reduction of 0.9%.
However, yields
are still being adversely affected. Despite a 3.3% increase in economy
passengers, premium traffic reduced by 1%.
Chief executive
Rod Eddington warned trading conditions remain challenging in the face of a
precarious global economic environment.
