Stansted closed due to bad weather

STANSTED airport has been closed due to adverse weather
conditions.

The airport was closed last night, leading to the
cancellation of all services.

A spokeswoman said operational staff had been unable to get
to the airport because of the icy roads.

The situation at Stansted will be reviewed at lunchtime, the
spokeswoman added.

Gatwick airport is running normally, while flights at
Heathrow have been cancelled, with delays of two hours.

Scottish airports are running as normal, with delays on
flights to London airports. Flights to Stansted are being redirected to Luton,
Gatwick and Heathrow where possible.

Meanwhile, the Heathrow Express train service is
experiencing some delays and cancellations.
