United Airlines reports $3.2 billion loss

UNITED Airlines has reported a $3.2 billion loss for 2002.

The second largest carrier in the US, United Airlines filed
for bankruptcy in December in order to save itself from creditors while it
implemented a restructure.

The annual loss is just short of the $3.5 billion deficit
suffered by American Airlines for 2002.
