THOMAS Cook
has appointed a streamlined management team to speed up decision-making and get
closer to front line staff in travel agencies.
New UK chief
executive Manny Fontenla-Novoa has created one executive team, cutting out a
layer of management, but has still to announce a managing director of sales and
a marketing director.
In the
shake-up, finance director Ian Ailles replaces Richard Bowden-Doyle as managing
director, specialist businesses, and First Resort managing director Nigel David
joins as product managing director in July. Bowden-Doyle is in talks with
Thomas Cook AG to take on a group role.
Product
director Simon Robinson becomes director of mass market product and sales
director Ian Derbyshire is promoted to the role of director of trade relations.
