COSMOS
sales and marketing director David Burdon has left by mutual
consent after just
nine months at the company.
Burdon, originally
due to attend this weekend's Global Travel Group
conference, is not
on gardening leave. Managing director Terry Williamson
said Burdon was
hired for an "interim" period and his departure was
amicable.
Williamson will now
take charge of marketing, while a new sales director
will be appointed
this week. Commercial director StuartJackson will be responsible for
brochures.
Williamson said:
"I want someone totally focused on sales, it's an area we
need to concentrate
on as a business." He added Cosmos sales for the
summer were running
20% down but did not rule out adding extra seats into
high season if demand
returned.
