FIRST Choice has reported “encouraging signs” in booking
levels for summer over the last couple of weeks.
The operator said despite customers postponing their
bookings during the Iraqi conflict, summer bookings were returning, but first
half losses are still expected to be at the levels announced in March.
In a trading statement issued today, First Choice said: “Whilst
mindful of the challenging and unpredictable economic environment, there have
been encouraging signs in booking levels for the summer across the Group’s businesses,
over the last two weeks.”
Interim results for the six months ended April 30 will be
announced on June 10.
