WORLDCHOICE
is understood to be on the verge of announcing its first-ever centrally
negotiated deal with Thomson.
Details
of the deal, which is likely to see higher commission for all Worldchoice
agents, are set to be revealed at the consortium’s conference in Tenerife this
weekend.
It
follows Thomson’s first-ever centrally negotiated deal with Advantage Travel
Centres, revealed at the Advantage conference in Paphos, Cyprus.
Thomson
has negotiated with Advantage and Worldchoice members individually in the past,
but scrapped its controversial Preferred Agents Scheme last June.
The
one-year deal with Advantage will provide its members with an enhanced base
commission rate and the opportunity to earn more through targeted incentives.
