400 jobs to go at Singapore Airlines

SINGAPORE
Airlines has cut over 400 jobs from its head office in a cost-cutting move
following SARS.

The
airline recorded a $204 million loss during April as it slashed capacity and
suffered a drop in passenger numbers.

It has also introduced a wage-drop programme as it struggle
to fight back to profitability.
