LASTMINUTE.COM
has reached an out-of-court settlement with seven staff who quit the on-line
agency in a row over contracts.
Lawyer
Rashmi Chopra said Lastminute came in with an improved offer – believed to be
in the region of £30,000 – just as she was about to process court proceedings
on behalf of the the ex-staff.
The
problems started when Lastminute attempted to impose new working patterns and
commission structures on staff. The company has since backed down allowing
existing staff to work the original contract.
The
money will be divided up between the seven claimants depending on their length
of service at the on-line agency.
