GAY tour
operator Respect Holidays has been forced to set itself up as a travel agent
after the company it traded under collapsed.
The Civil Aviation
Authority called in the £1.4 million ATOL bond of Airline after it ceased trading
on Friday. More than 1,000 customers were abroad at the time, although all
customers are protected by ATOL.
Airline’s
head office was in St Albans, Hertfordshire, but it also had an office in
Camden, London. It sold package holidays and flights, mainly to Spain and
Portugal.
Airline
traded under the names of Respect Holidays, The Independent Holiday Company,
The Holiday Store and Maclaine Holidays.
Respect Holidays is now trading as a retail agent for
a number of ATOL holders.
