BA makes a meal of it

BRITISH
Airways has radically overhauled its free in-flight menu on European flights in
a bid to differentiate it from no-frills rivals.

The
menu aims to give customers more choice and includes a healthy option and more
appropriate food for the time of the flight.

The
airline will introduce hot sandwiches on its mid-range European flights
including Italy, Spain, Sweden, Austria and the Czech Republic. Hot food will
remain on longer short-haul flights including Russia, Turkey, Greece and
Cyprus. Food will now be presented in a box, replacing the deli bag.

BA
head of short-haul brands Kevin George said: “The enhanced food service sets us
above the no-frills carriers. We are committed to offering our customers all
the benefits of flying with a full-service carrier.”
