KEFALOS TOURIST VILLAGE TO OPEN IN APRIL
The 244-room Kefalos Beach Tourist Village will open in April in Paphos near the Tombs of the Kings. The self-catering complex, styled on a traditional Cypriot village, comprises studios and one-bedroom apartments. A week with Cyplon (four sharing a one-bedroom apartment), including flights from Gatwick, leads in at £338.
HOTEL DEVELOPMENT PLANNED FOR AYIA NAPA
Two hotels are due to open in Ayia Napa within the next 18 months – the four-star, 116-room Melissi Beach and the three-star, 70-room Limanaki Beach. New properties under construction at neighbouring Protaras include a 149-room five-star and a 184-room three-star property, as well as a 78-unit apartment block.
BALES ADDS CYPRUS COACH TOUR FOR 2000
Bales Worldwide has added a coach tour of Cyprus for 2000. The eight-day Aphrodite’s Isle tour, which overnights in Larnaca, Nicosia, Troodos, Paphos and Limassol, leads in at £1,225. The price includes British Airways return flights from Heathrow to Larnaca, half-board accommodation, English-speaking guide and a full sightseeing programme, inclusive of all entrance fees.
CULINARY EXPERIENCE TOURS OFFERED BY SUNVIL
Sunvil is introducing a new Culinary Experience tour, which will allow visitors to prepare their own traditional Cypriot meals under expert supervision. The seven-day tour, which includes nearly all meals, departs on June 21. Clients stay in village houses at Tochni, 13 miles from Larnaca, and learn about the history of food, its preparation and cooking methods. The tour is priced at £785.
ARGO OFFERS BEACH AND MOUNTAIN BREAKS
