n clarion reopens after £1.75m renovation
Montreal’s Clarion Hotel and Suites Downtown property has reopened following a £1.75mrenovation. Formerly the Manoir Le Moyne, the new Clarion hotel has refitted all 265 guest suites, meeting rooms and public areas. There are alsobusiness-class rooms with large working desks.

Tradewinds is featuring flycruise and stay packages in conjunction with Carnival Cruise Lines’ new sailings between New York and Canada’s maritime provinces next year. Ports of call include Halifax, Nova Scotia; and St John, New Brunswick, and the cruise can becombined with hotel stays in New York as well asadd-on holidays in Barbados and Cancun in Mexico. Prices start at £1,049 for three nights at New York’s Roosevelt Hotel and afour-night cruise, including flights with Virgin Atlantic.
n Cresta adds new cities to 2000 brochure
Short-break specialist Cresta has added the cities of Vancouver, Quebec City and Montreal to its 2000 brochure. In Vancouver a choice of hotels is on offer for stays from two to five-nights with pricesleading in at £529, plus six pre-bookable excursions. Another four each are featured in Quebec and Montreal from £423 for two nights. Day-trip options can also be booked for both eastern cities.
