Delegates prepare to lay down the law

ATOL reforms, disability discrimination and Foreign
and Commonwealth Office advice will be key discussion topics at the Fifth
International Travel and Tourism: Policy, Law and Management conference. The
event, on May 20 and 21 at the Copthorne Hotel in Newcastle, is expected to
attract more than 100 delegates.

Moderator Professor David Grant said a discussion on
changes to ATOL regulations will be the centrepiece of the event because the Civil
Aviation Authority’s consultation on the legislation ends that week. Speakers
include CAA consumer protection group head Helen Simpson, former Airtours
managing director Seamus Conlon and Federation of Tour Operators director
general Andy Cooper. Call 0191 243 7597 or e-mail
