I THINK your readers needed to be reminded of credit-card frauds as featured in the ABTA analysis (Travel Weekly November 22).
We have been contacted by a ‘Michael’ and a ‘Mr Johnson’ for a late business-class booking for flights to Lagos and Amsterdam – the contact number he gives is always a mobile and the flights are never for him.
The enquiries raised our suspicions and we hope that no-one else has been caught out.
Please remember that any credit-card chargebacks to your agency will apply if you have enquiries that turn out not to be genuine.
