Whistlebrook’s Travelpower to assist corporate budgeting

HERTFORDSHIRE-BASEDWhistlebrook Ltd has devised a new product for business travel agents.

TravelPower is suitable for small to medium-sized agency chains, which have between two and 100 users. Its accounting and reporting features help business agents keep tabs on their cashflow and provide their clients with a detailed analysis of travel expenses.

The company has already signed up several business travel agencies including St Albans-based Review Travel and Norwich-based Destinations.

Sales director John Richardson said key features of TravelPower include pre-and post-trip accounting. “One of the hot issues at the moment is pre-trip reporting, which helps clients and business travel agents to plan cashflow. Clients need to know how much to budget for in the next few weeks and agents need to know how much cashflow will be tied up in ticketing,” he said.

A post-trip reporting module lets clients analyse how much they have spent by airline, by class of travel or by department – and then modify their travel policy accordingly. Another feature is a document scanning module, for scanning in original invoices. It runs on Windows and costs £2,000 per user.

Whistlebrook has a marketing deal with GDS supplier Worldspan – it is Worldspan’s preferred back-office software supplier.
