THEDUTY-Free Confederation’s board of directors is considering four new names for the organisation.
These are: Travel Retail Group; Travel Retail Association; Travel Retail Forum; and Travel Retail Federation.
The board may also decide to prefix the new title with UK. The directors failed to reach agreement on a new name at a meeting last week, but they are due to discuss the matter again in the new year.
The DFC wants a different name to reflect its new purpose following the abolition of duty-free (Travel Weekly November 29).
