A new ABTA chief executive and a merger with the
Federation of Tour Opeators will revitalise Newman Street and give
it more clout in the corridors of power.
ABTA president Martin Wellings made the bold prediction in the
wake of current chief executive Ian Reynolds’ announcement he
will retire in September after 11 years.
Wellings also revealed ABTA may slash the size of the board of
directors from 18 to 12 in a bid to speed up policy making.
