Module 2: Grand Cayman and the Sister IslandsIn this module, we will be looking in more detail at the three islands. Once referred to by seafarers who visited its shores as ‘the island that time forgot’, Grand Cayman is today a much sought-after destination for holidaymakers in search of peace and relaxation. It is, indeed, a place of contrasts. On the one hand, the capital, George Town, is the fifth largest financial centre in the world. On the other, it still offers visitors a rare opportunity to sample the unspoiled glories of a Caribbean paradise. The two smaller Sister Islands of Cayman Brac and Little Cayman are located just 89 miles north-east of Grand Cayman, and around five miles from each other.
