HOSEASONS has made sales director Yvonne Borg redundant and said it wants to change the way it works with the trade.
Commercial director Paul Temple will also leave and further changes are likely in January. Borg is well-known to retailers, having spent 21 years with the self-catering specialist.
Chief executive Richard Carrick said: “I am very sorry to see them go. But the new structure will better serve the the market.”
He added: “We’ve had an extremely strong presence in the trade, in large part due to Yvonne.”
Borg said: “While redundancy is always unwelcome, I think the experience has been made more unpleasant by its timing. But I take pride in all our team has achieved.”
About 50% of Hoseasons’ bookings are through the trade. Carrick said he would like to boost agent sales via the web.
