Sales boost for Royal Caribbean

ROYAL Caribbean International is to double the size of its on-the-road sales team on the back of strong agency business.

All six existing district sales managers have been promoted to new roles as major account managers, looking after 80 cruise specialists between them.

Six key account managers have also been recruited to oversee the company’s 4,000 most productive retail outlets and call centres.

Sales and marketing director for UK and Ireland Jo Rzymowska said, for Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, business was 30% up year on year.

“The rate of growth is enormous, which is great, but we have to make sure we have the infrastructure in place to manage that,” she added.

Jillian Winn has been brought in as a second national account manager to Karen Doyle. The two will split the cruiseline’s national accounts between them.

Specialist independents and multiples will have access to a new dedicated trade marketing team that will be able to produce bespoke promotional materials and support in-store and online offers.

Rzymowska said feedback from a trade advisory panel – meeting for the first time in the Midlands next week– will form part of a new trade campaign already in use in the US called ‘Easy To Do Business With.
