Nicky Edmunds has been promoted to fill the new role of marketing support manager at Canadian Airlines. Previously marketing executive for the company, Nicky will have specific responsibility for media relations and sales activity.
Jersey-based hotel group Modern has appointed Chris Morgan as its new financial director. He has been with Modern Hotels as group accountant since September 1998.
Gill Ribis, sales manager of the independently owned Scarisbrick Hotel in Southport, has been selected as chairman of the Hotel Marketing Association in Northern England. She joins Pamela Carvell who has been re-elected chairman of the HMA in London and the South.
SRS-World Hotels has appointed David Newton as local sales manager for the northern England region. He previously co-owned a restaurant in London, prior to which he was sales manager at The Park Lane Hotel in London for four years.
The newly created role of business development executive at Swan Hellenic Cruises has been filled by Helen Sowden. She recently completed a tourism degree at Bournemouth University during which she had a year’s placement at British Airways as new business development executive.
