Agents on Seabourn Sun

“The ship has a very contemporary look. It’s got a classical elegance. The Italian restaurant is very attractive and ideal for people celebrating special occasions. However, I don’t like the red and blue colour scheme in the Norway Lounge. Also, it’s very cramped and there isn’t enough leg room. I wouldn’t sell a holiday on Seabourn Sun to a first-time cruiser unless they were used to five-star luxury. This ship is for the well heeled, discerning customer.”

“It was really nice to see the ship smartened up and looking great again. The suites were really nicely re-done and so was the Garden Cafe, and I loved the Italian restaurant. But Ididn’t like the shouty colours in the Norway Lounge, although maybe they were intended for the night time. And I was disappointed that the company didn’t refurbish the bathrooms. It’s there the age of a ship shows before anything else.”

Edwina Lonsdale, managing director, Paul Mundy Cruising

“I first saw the ship seven or eight months ago in port, and I thought it’s very well designed and a good size. The renovations are spectacular. The extension to the Garden Cafe is very good. The company has extended it quite a bit and opened it to alfresco dining. I would sell Seabourn Sun to affluent customers who know what they want and expect good service. I would send a first-time cruiser on the ship. If you can get a first timer on a Seabourn ship, you have got them for life.”
