Airports face ‘simpler future’

BRITISH Midland executive chairman Sir Michael Bishop has predicted airports will become easier to pass through as consumers demand a turn-up-and-go system.

Speaking on a debate on Airlines and the Travel Agent, Sir Michael said that future airports will become much simpler and more spartan.

“They’ve become great shopping centres and holding areas,” said Sir Michael.

“You get people there two hours early and take as much money off them as possible.”
