SERENITY Holidays is boosting its links with the trade as its new director of marketing sees agents as integral for the future.
Chris Ayling said: “While other operators are reducing commission and the amount they work with agents, I am keen to improve trade relations. I see agents as an important and integral part of our company’s future.”
New agreements have been signed with both Triton and Iglu, while deals with Thomas Cook and Althams Travel are pending.
Serenity will work with the multiples as well as the independents to improve sales of its Gambia Experience and Corsican Places brands. New products for 2006 include Undiscovered Turkey and The Cape Verde Experience, also available through agents.
Ayling took on his new role after spending 10 years at the company, recently heading up the tailor-made product department.
