Ebookers.com records £2.4m loss


ON-LINE travel agency ebookers.com has reported a net loss of £2.4m for the third quarter, compared to a £100,000 profit in the same time last year.



However, turnover rose by 217% to $8.1m for this period.



The company relaunched its Web site and acquired on-line travel businesses in France and Germany during the third quarter. Bookings made on-line rose to 1,000 tickets a week by mid-November – up 7% a week over the last 20 weeks. It has also just been listed on the Nasdaq and Neuer Markt stock exchanges.
