The Department for Transport has announced changes to the UK’s aviation security measures which will come into effect from September 22.
The main changes concern the size of hand luggage, which will increase from 45cm long, 35cm wide and 16cm deep to 56cm long, 45cm wide and 25cm deep including wheels, handles etc.
Musical instruments will also be allowed as a second item of hand luggage and will need to be screened.
