Walking holiday specialist HF Holidays has announced the appointment of Brian Smith as its new chief executive. He will take over at the end of December.
He will replace Peter Chapman who will retire after holding the post for 14 years and working for the operator for 21 years in total.
Smith joins the company having worked in both the UK and Irish motor trade for the last 36 years. He is currently the Continental Tyres (UK) managing director.
He said: “My career in the motor industry has been both enjoyable and rewarding. But, I now feel the time is right to embark on a fresh challenge.
“HF Holidays has an excellent, long-established reputation, and I look forward to driving continued growth and building on past achievements.”
