TRAVEL 2 Travel 4 has appointed Stephen Rhodes as its new commercial director.
His new role will see him take responsibility for ensuring the operator maximises third party supplier contracts and commercial opportunities in order to attract top end tailor-made and touring business. He will also be responsible for trading aspects of the business.
Travel 2 Travel 4 managing director Maria Whiteman said: “Stephen’s track record is very impressive and his strong experience of both air and ground operations at a senior level will be of enormous benefit to Travel 2 Travel 4.”
Rhodes joins the operator from Highlife Breaks where he was interim director. Previously he had worked as managing director for flight-only specialist Avro and he has also been head of worldwide at British Airways Holidays and Citalia managing director.
Whiteman added: “It’s also important that much of his experience has been gained in organisations such as our own which specialise in working closely with the trade.
“In the coming months we will focus strongly on increasing our hotels, touring and tailor-made business and this will be a key objective for him and the team.”
