Hilton announces Liverpool development – 27 Oct 2006


Hilton Hotels has announced plans for a new development at Liverpool One, the city’s £900 million regeneration project.

Hilton has signed an agreement with the developer, Grosvenor, to open the 216-room hotel inn 2008 during Liverpool’s year as Capital of Culture.

The hotel will also feature ten meeting rooms, a ball room and restaurant and will focus on creating a contemporary look.

Hilton’s president for UK and Ireland Howard Friedman said: “This is Hilton’s first hotel in Liverpool, one of the UK’s fastest growing and dynamic cities.

“The signing of the agreement marks yet another significant step forward for Hilton’s development throughout the UK and Ireland and we are delighted to be part of Liverpool’s exciting future.”
