Israel supplement 2006

Welcome to this year’s Israel supplement, produced in association with Travel Weekly. Despite the short-term crisis in the region this summer, 2006 has been a promising year for tourism in Israel.

Holidaymakers are returning to soak up the year-round sunshine on beautiful beaches and to explore the country’s unique historical, cultural and spiritual sites.

Eilat is the perfect winter sun resort with direct weekly flights throughout the winter. Tel Aviv maintains its reputation as the 24-hour party town and Jerusalem is, as always, the heritage capital of the world. All combined with the natural spa and health qualities of Dead Sea, in Israel your clients really will be spoilt for choice.

Before the recent conflict, tourism was at an all-time high in Israel. In 2005 167,000 Britons visited, and year on year tourism figures have continued to rise. This year we plan to improve on these numbers again.

And as part of our ongoing advertising campaign we are proud to be the official sponsor of Arsenal football club until the
end of this football season.

We look forward to welcoming you to Israel soon. Shalom.
