Dubai supplement 2006

Welcome to the Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing’s (DTCM) dedicated Building The Future supplement, produced in association with Travel Weekly.

With interest in Dubai at an all-time high, we are delighted to bring you the latest information about developments taking place in the emirate.

In the following pages you’ll find details of airport developments, the mixed-use theme park – Dubailand; the world’s tallest tower – Burj Dubai; ‘cities within a city’ such as Dubai Marina and Dubai Festival City; and the exciting developments taking shape on Dubai’s waterfront – including The Palm islands and The World.

The UK is now the largest market to Dubai and with more than 680,000 UK visitors in 2005, up by 13% from the previous year, there are incredible sales opportunities for agents. And with some 190 UK and Ireland tour operators featuring Dubai, and more than 120 direct flights each week, selling Dubai has never been easier.

If you’re not already a Dubai Expert, sign up now for the DTCM’s free online training programme and find out how to further increase your selling power. There’s more information on page 18.
