Central America first for SuperClubs – 24 Nov 2006

SuperClubs is to break into the Central American market for the first time opening a Breezes resort in Playa Blanca, Panama.


The Jamaica-based operator has signed a 10-year deal with developers Sunstar Hotel and Development to build the 300-room resort that is due to open mid way through 2008.


A new Breezes will also be opened in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2009, the company has announced. The Breezes Buzios Resort resort will include a roler skating park, archery centre, a mini golf course, convention facilities and 110 villas.


SuperClubs chairman John Issa said: “As our first Central American resort, Breezes in Panama figures priminently in our expansion strategy in Latin America.


“Panama and Brazil are our top growth priorities, and we are excited to introduce our turnkey operation to new vibrant destinations.”
