The USA is the best destination to drive in while on holiday, according to a survey of 2,000 UK fly-drive holidaymakers conducted by easyCar.com.
The research found that 58% rated the USA as the easier place in which to drive with Australia coming a close second with 53% voting it the easiest place to drive.
Italy was rated the most stressful place to drive as it received 42% of the vote, ahead of Portugal with 36%. Meanwhile South Africa (75%) and Greece (56%) were thought to have the most reckless drivers. South Africa was also considered the most dangerous.
Australia was thought to have the safest roads by 44% of those taking part in the survey, with Switzerland coming in second with 43% of the vote. France (62%) was rated as having the safest roads while Netherlands (77%) was thought to have the best road signs.
Drivers are most likely to get caught in traffic in the Netherlands, according to 65% of people taking part in the survey and Italy had the second worst traffic.
